Luberef is one of three members of the Aramco Base Oil Alliance, which together produced 1 in every 8 barrels of base oil globally in 2021.
Highly Efficient Operations
From our two facilities we have an annual production capacity of 1.3m metric tonnes, achieving mechanical availability of 99.7% in 2021.
BASE OIL
Our consistently high-quality base oils, derived from, straight-run residue Arab Light crude oil, allow our customers to benefit from products which meet their needs.
BY-PRODUCTS
The by-products we produce include naphtha, diesel, asphalt, sulfur and Marine Heavy Fuel Oil (MHFO). The asphalt we produce directly contributes to the Kingdom’s infrastructure development.
Development of the downstream industry
LubeHUB Lubricants Value Park is an industrial park project strategically located adjacent to our Yanbu Facility, providing investors with the opportunity to build manufacturing facilities close to us.
It aims to attract a multitude of speciality product producers and operators associated with the base oil industry by enabling easy access from within LubeHUB to Luberef’s base oils and by-products as their feedstock.
In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, LubeHUB aims to attract investors to localize imported products, manufacture ‘Made in Saudi’ products and increase Saudi employment.
